Cancellation/Late/No Show Policy

Cancellations:

  • Clients have up to 24 hours before their scheduled appointment to cancel.

  • If it is less than 24 hour notice there is a three strike policy:

    • 1st strike: Warning and rebook

    • 2nd strike: 20% deposit and rebook

    • 3rd strike: 50% of missed appointment and prepay for next appointment with card on file

Late/No Show Policy:

  • Groomer will call 15 minutes after the missed appointment, inform the client, and give 5-10 minutes from contact to reach back out if we were sent to voicemail. 

  • If we do not hear from the client within this timeframe, the appointment will be canceled.

PPC Vaccination Policy

Legal Requirement:

  • In the state of Indiana, all dogs and cats over 3 months must be up to date on their rabies vaccinations.

  • Rabies is a deadly disease that can infect humans, pets, livestock, and wildlife.

  • At PPC we require a copy of vaccination records to confirm that our clients are adhering to this state law.

 

No Shave Policy 
(For double coated breeds)
  • Breeds that have a double coat (Shepherds, Husky, Golden Retriever, Pomeranian, etc) will not be shaved as it can be detrimental to their health, potentially causing…

    • Skin issues

    • A disruption in their ability to naturally regulate their temperature

    • An increase in their chances of heatstroke or cold exposure

  • Instead… focus on regular brushing to manage shedding and maintain the integrity of the animal's coat.

  • Consider adding a de-shed treatment to your grooming appointment to help regulate shedding.

Matted Dog Policy

Severe Matting:

  • If a dog comes into the salon severely matted, the dog will be shaved down as this is the most humane option to remove the mats. This prioritizes the dog's comfort over the aesthetics of the haircut. It is Pawz Pet Grooming’s goal to make your pet’s grooming experience as stress free as possible.

  • Please note that removing matting can be uncomfortable. While our groomers are experienced, knicks and scrapes can occur. Removing the hair can also reveal preexisting skin conditions and/or injuries. Pawz Pet Grooming can not be held liable for these occurrences.

  • The owner will be informed of the decision to shave the pet after the groomer has completed an assessment at drop off.

  • If the owner has already left the salon prior to us determining their pet is matted, needing to be shaved, we will attempt to call the owner to discuss the fur and its condition. If we are unable to reach you within 15 minutes of your appointment drop off time to discuss, we will proceed to remove the coat to alleviate unnecessary pain and suffering.
