“I’ve never been to a cat cafe before. How does this work?"

Accepted Answer

We have a unique location in a large building, so this is a common question! When you first enter you’ll see our retail room. You may walk around for a bit to check out our pet supplies, but when you’re ready to see our furry friends head straight back through the hallway. That’s when you’ll enter our cafe area and be able to see through our large windows into the cat lounge. Grab a drink from our beverage bar, and our barista can help get you checked in for a walk-in or your booked reservation time. Once you sign in, read the rules and liability waiver posted to the cat lounge door, sanitize your hands, and walk on in! Our cat care staff will be happy to answer any questions during your stay with us at Pawz Pet Cafe.

Question 2

“I ended up with a cat I can’t keep. Can I leave it with you at the cafe?”

Accepted Answer

We partner with Paws On My Heart Inc., a local feline nonprofit rescue, and we host their cats at our location. We cannot take any pets into Pawz that are not fully vetted and socialized prior to entry. Please do not drop off any animals here at Pawz Pet Cafe. If you have found a cat or kitten that you are not able to care for or keep, please contact POMH or another local shelter.

Question 3

“Do the cats live here permanently? Where do they sleep at night?”

Accepted Answer

The cats stay here after they are prepared for adoption! To see the available cats please check out the “Adoptable Kitties” tab. As much as we love spending time with the cats here at the cafe, we always hope they find their fur-ever homes. Sometimes when the kitties need a break, we send them to a foster for a little while until they’re ready to return to the lounge.

There is lots of space and plenty for the cats to keep themselves entertained with, even when we’re closed. They are all free roam in the lounge so at night, they stay here and continue to play, eat, and snooze as much as they’d like! Pawz staff and POMH volunteers care for the cats daily, even when the store is closed to the public.

“Will the cats scratch?”

Our adoptable kitties have spent lots of time being socialized, and can be very friendly! It is important to follow the cat lounge rules and listen to Pawz staff to avoid preventable injuries to both you and the cats.

Pawz Pet Cafe and Paws On My Heart Inc. do not support declawing cats. Cats do have teeth and claws, and can be unpredictable, so we never guarantee that there won’t be minor bites/scratches while visiting the cat lounge. When booking online or entering the lounge as a walk in visit, please be sure to read the liability waiver thoroughly to understand the risks.

“Does Pawz sell pet supplies?”

Accepted Answer

We do! Pawz sells all sorts of pet needs, from toys to litter to cat trees, all available to be purchased in store! We even sell our exclusive products on Amazon, Tiktok Shop, and Instagram/Facebook Shops. Pawz is also a distributor for PetKIT and Pidan products!

Question 6

“Do we have to call ahead or make a reservation?”

Our cat room capacity is 18 guests total. Walk-in visits are welcome, but reservations are recommended to guarantee your time slot. If you do end up needing to wait for your time, there is a free Kitty Korner with games and coloring pages!

“How can we support Pawz and POMH?”

Accepted Answer

You support Pawz Pet Cafe every time you like or share a post, when you visit the lounge, and when you purchase a drink or item from our retail shop!

“Is Pawz hiring?”

While we are not actively hiring, we regularly check the application submissions through our website. We will post on socials when we are actively hiring again!

Question 9

“Does Pawz require a deposit?”

Accepted Answer

We do require a non-refundable $200 deposit for birthday parties, and a 50% deposit is required for cat boarding if the estimated charges are over $100. There is no deposit required for reservations, as those are paid online under our “book online” tab.
